NCCA Review of the Senior Cycle
Scoil Ruáin was chosen, as one of 41 schools in Ireland, to participate in a review of the current programme at Senior Cycle. This review asked pupils, parents and teachers to give their opinion on both the positives and negatives of our current system – Transition Year, Leaving Cert Applied Programme, Leaving Certificate and Leaving Cert Vocational Programme. They were also asked to give their input on what changes they think should be made to any new Senior Cycle Programme. This review started in September 2018 and will conclude in early 2019 with a report of the findings being presented to the Department of Education by June 2019.
