Under 17 Hurling
Scoil Ruain’s U17 hurlers had a great win over Scoil Phobail Roscrea in the pre liminary quarter final of the U17 Fitzgerald Shield County Championship. The game was played in Templetuohy with conditions very good considering all the recent bad weather. The Killenaule lads were slow out of the blocks and were a point down at half-time on a scoreline of 1-7 to 1-6. The second half proved different as the Killenaule players got to grips with the Roscrea challenge and finished very strongly to win on a scoreline of 3-16 to 3-6. A great team effort but a massive challenge awaits after the Easter holidays as Scoil Ruain will have to play the High School Clonmel in the quarter final.
