Our Senior ‘D’ team played Kilkenny City Vocational School and were beaten. The Kilkenny girls won well but the score line didn’t reflect the effort put in by the girls and it just wasn’t our day.
Our Cadet ‘D’ team got off to a winning start on their first outing against Kilkenny City Vocational School. The girls won impressively by 40-6. The team were led by their captain Amy Webster who put in a impressive performance and encouraged her team to put on a quality display of basketball.
The girls had to play two games back to back and were shattered in their second match against Gaelcholáiste Phort Láirge. The girls were level at the end of the second quarter but with the fresh legs of the Waterford girls they pulled away to finish the match on a score line of 39-18.
The Senior ‘D’ and Cadet ‘D’ girls will now face Comeragh College next week in a must win match.
