Message from the Principal
I am delighted to welcome you to our website. It is with great pride and privilege I serve as Principal of Scoil Ruáin. Please take time to familiarise yourself with some information about our school and you are most welcome to come along and visit us during our open week.
Nestled in the hills of Killenaule, Scoil Ruáin enjoys a warm and welcoming atmosphere where positive relationships between our staff, students and parents are of paramount importance.
As part of Tipperary ETB, our core values of Excellence In Education, Respect, Care, Equality and Community are always to the fore.
We firmly believe in offering a progressive academic curriculum as well as an extensive range of extra-curricular activities which encourages the development of the complete person in keeping with our motto “Ad Totam Personam”.
Our transition programme from primary to secondary school has proven to be very beneficial. As many of our students come from small country schools we invest heavily in this programme to ensure that all our incoming first years feel happy and safe at school. We applaud and reward success and encourage our students to achieve their potential in every area.
Our students are at the centre of all we do in Scoil Ruáin and our pastoral care programme has at its heart the academic, social and personal wellbeing of each student. In essence, we believe that a happy school is a successful school.
So, please come along and see for yourself what Scoil Ruáin has to offer you or your child.
I look forward to meeting you.
James Williams (Principal)
